Tara Rose Davison, soprano and classical guitarist, began her training as an opera singer. She performed throughout the United States and Internationally in roles such as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte, Cleopatra in Giulio Cesare and Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus. By the age of 21, she was the youngest finalist in the Metropolitan Opera Auditions. While in graduate school she shifted her focus to classical guitar and in particular works for classical guitar and voice.
She graduated cum laude from University of Colorado Boulder in 2009.She has since released two albums, Love Songs & Lullabies from Spain and South America and L’Arte dell’Amore, A Collection of Rare 19th Century Italian Songs. Most recently she played for a White House Delegation and gave a solo recital at the 2014 Guitar Foundation of America International Convention.
